Established in 1951 by Frank Barnshaw, Angle Ring today celebrates over 75 years in business as one of the largest metal and alloy bending companies in the world. As a third generation, family owned business, we take great pride in offering a high quality, personal service to all our customers.
We are proud to offer the UK’s largest steel bending range from our single site production facility in Tipton, West Midlands, and are a key part of the supply chain for a wide range of key industry sectors in the UK and abroad.

1951 Founded in Tipton by Frank Barnshaw, the Grandfather of our Managing Director, Daniel Barnshaw
1960s Gradually moving on to the processing or larger work, the bulk of business is still for mechanical & process engineering industries
1970s Our development focuses on building larger machines for bending larger sections
1980s The market becomes receptive to new ideas and new forms of construction in structural steel
1990s Our range of induction bending machines are installed
2000s We acquire specialist plate rolling company, T Morley, and 12 months later purchase a range of press braking machinery from Bentham International
2010s Further investment in our plate rolling capacity with the purchase of two new sets of plate rolls
2021 Celebrating our 70th year in business
